Lapidair Museum

Ontdek een verrassend en mysterieus beroep dat sinds de 18e eeuw door mannen en vrouwen uit de Haut-Jura wordt uitgeoefend.
Deze activiteit, die aanvankelijk als aanvulling op de landbouw werd uitgevoerd, leidde later tot de oprichting van gespecialiseerde werkplaatsen. Tegenwoordig werken nog steeds een handvol steenhouwers voor de grootste juweliers.
Wintersneeuw, het geluid van molenstenen, de hardheid en schoonheid van stenen, de kunst van het slijpen, de magie van robijnen, saffieren, smaragden en andere edelstenen... het vereist vakmanschap van de bewoners van de Haut-Jura.
Het museum eert deze generaties briljante en kleurrijke kunstenaars.
