A key figure in French piano, Alexandre Tharaud is recognized for his virtuosity, sensitivity and unique ability to create a dialogue between eras and styles. He was able to transpose to the piano the works of the baroque harpsichord, of which his recordings of Rameau and Scarlatti have been hailed as references, while also exploring with finesse the later French repertoire. He will perform for us Rameau's great suite and two of his own transcriptions.
