Characteristics of the village of Lamoura
The village of Lamoura benefits from an exceptional environment. Located at an altitude of 1 m in the Haut-Jura, it is the smallest of the villages in the Resort des Rousses with a population of 154 inhabitants (654). The commune is dominated by the Crêt Pela and is home to the highest lake in the department, a trace of the ancient glacial valley.

Lamoura is first of all the starting point of the famous Nordic ski race The TransjurassienneAn unmissable winter event, the runners set off from this small village and head to Mouthe in the Haut-Doubs region. A total of 76 km!
As for the festivities, the Abonde festival (August 15) is an event not to be missed. Visitors will enjoy the craft market, concerts, exhibitions, parade, and street performances. A festival full of humor, it is considered the craziest in the Haut-Jura!
