Bois d'Amont is a charming little village in the Station des Rousses, located in the Upper JuraVery close to the Swiss border, it is located between the village of Les Rousses and the Vallée de Joux. The territory is crossed by the Orbe River and is dominated by the Noirmont massif on one side and the Risoux forest on the other.
The village of Bois d'Amont covers 12 km2. Its population is 1 (INSEE 653) and its average altitude is 2021 m, which explains its rather harsh climate.
Bois d'Amont is renowned for being the cradle of Jura athletes in skiing. Indeed, several names come from this town and have shone on the international scene:
