Young recruits, are you ready to experience some thrilling sensations?

Venture into the universe of Commando Games and travel back in time to the military past of the Fort des Rousses!

1150 m above sea level in the heart of the Regional Nature Park of Haut-Jura, Les Rousses fort is the 2nd-largest fortress in France. A training centre for commando forces until 1997, since 1998 it has been used as a cheese ripening cellar and offers many activities to discover the fort, its battlements, its heritage, and its interior...

The adventure courses, taken directly from commando workshops, are being redesigned in 2016. Installed on the fort's battlements, the new park will allow young and experienced alike to become adventurers for the time it takes to finish their course!

A Piece of History!

At the end of the Second World War the Fort des Rousses became a commando training centre until 1997. Numerous platforms were installed on the ramparts of the fort, amongst other things, to enable elite troops from the entire world to train and to hone their skills.

Many people have experienced unforgettable moments in this historic site, which has now been converted into an exceptional tourist attraction.

The objective of the Commando Games is to let the general public experience, in a fun-filled way, the platforms set up by the Commandos of the Fort des Rousses from 1945 to 1997. As well as different training courses and missions, a scenography will help “recruits” immerse themselves in this universe.

History belongs to us all; it is important not to forget this and to communicate it to the current and future generations!

Where and How?

You can’t miss it! The headquarters, “HQ”, of Commando Games overlooks the village of Les Rousses. In a setting where you’ll be able to find military equipment (camouflage netting, transport crates...) you’ll be instantly plunged into the “Commando” universe.

The instructors will give you a kit bag (safety equipment, armband and roadmap) with all the necessary instructions for you to launch yourself on the assault tower to carry out your different missions as a trainee commando!

For Whom?

All the courses are accessible to adults and children with the minimum height of 1.3 m. Only the “cohesion” course necessitates a minimum height of 1.45 m and the participation of at least 2 people.

And the little ones?

We haven’t forgotten about the little ones in the universe of Commando Games!

The 2 initiation courses are designed specially for children with a height of 1 m to 1.3 m, and safely accessible under the watchful eye of parents. On the first course situated at 1 m above the ground, budding commandos will be able to play on numerous platforms: crossing beams, logs, wood planks, nets, zip wire... The second course is situated in the trees, 2 m above the ground with new platforms: steep slope, nets, Tibetan bridge, Tarzan swings, zip line...

When?

Opened in summer season since July 2017, you can discover the "Mission Escape" in winter ( school holidays)

Morceau d'histoire !
